Severe drought, driven by climate change has caused a drastic decline in reintroduced threatened mammals at Arid Recovery, a fenced off feral free conservation reserve in remote South Australia.

During the 2018 and 2019 Arid Recovery received a total of 90 mm of rain, well below the 100 mm average, and there’s no relief forecast on the horizon. The faced the abyss of a brutally hot and dry summer.
